SVCA represents private equity – a catalyst for growth


The Swedish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (SVCA) is the industry association for the private equity industry in Sweden. Private equity & venture capital are active forms of ownership and act as catalysts for growth in the Swedish economy. 

 

The objective of the Association, founded in 1985, is to promote an efficient private equity market in Sweden. This is accomplished by:

• Acting as the advocate for the industry in the media as well as with politicians and decision-makers

• Pursuing the formation of fact-based opinions to create a fair representation of the industry

• Creating meeting places for participants in the industry by arranging conferences and smaller meetings as well as informal networking gatherings

• Promoting professional growth for participants in the industry by arranging training sessions and seminars

• Promoting the judicious work of the industry with regard to ethics, transparency and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

• Monitoring changes in regulations and tax legislation as well as promoting a favourable environment for the industry

• Fostering entrepreneurship and educating entrepreneurs in private equity and financing questions/issues
