Mannheimer Swartling: Doing Deals in a Down Market

Adam Green is a partner at Mannheimer Swartling and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups. Adam will talk about some of the challenges buyers and sellers face in a tough market. Adam’s work focuses primarily on the purchase and sale of companies and businesses, and also on investments in privately-held companies. Adam is frequently involved in complex and cross-border transactions. 

Vinge: China - challenges and opportunities seen from a Chinese lawyer's perspective 
Gu Qun, partner Vinge Shanghai. Gu Qun, currently based in Stockholm, shares her views and insights on the threats and opportunities for companies looking to do business in China. Gu Qun holds a Chinese law degree and prior to joining Vinge in 2000, she worked as an assistant judge at the Taicang Municipal Court in the Jiangsu Province, as well as a legal counsel with various companies. Gu Qun speaks Chinese, English and Swedish. 

PwC: Transactions in the future
Johan Sjöqvist is a partner at PwC Sweden and the leader of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity group within the tax department. Johan has frequently been working with private equity and transaction related tax questions such as structuring, due diligence and tax modelling over the past 7 years. Johan will talk about the Swedish Tax Agency's view on interest rates on shareholder loans used for funding in transactions carried out during the past years and also on the changes that may be expected regarding the deductibility of interest going forward as a consequence of the ongoing review of existing rules.
